Event Description
Please join the Diversity Committee for a discussion group related to issues of diversity and inclusion that arise in our Balint Groups. We hope to create a place for leaders to discuss challenges in addressing issues of diversity during a Balint group, understanding that when issues of DEI arise we may feel triggered or reactive.
Bring your questions or challenges or send them to us in advance. This group will be similar to a topic group at an Intensive and will be moderated by Lisa Whitten and Terri Wall - co-chairs of the Diversity Committee.
Possible questions for discussion are how to:

Cost: $ 0.00 (Free)
In order to ensure that we have adequate time for all to participate and benefit from our discussion, we are limiting attendance to twelve participants. If you register and you're unable to attend, please let us know so we can give your spot to someone else.

- Help the group explore the patient-clinician relationship when issues of diversity and difference arise
- Find opportunities to help the group dig deeper
- Facilitate a group in which the clinician’s identity and personal values seem at odds
